What is Express Entry Canada?

Express Entry Canada is one of the immigration programs specifically designed for eligible skilled workers. The Express Entry offers immigration under three categories:

A. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

This program under the Express Entry Canada caters to the skilled workers who have a prior Canadian Work experience. This work experience must be acquired within 3 years of applying for the CEC program of Express Entry Canada.

B. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

This program invites eligible Skilled workers with foreign or international work experience.

C. Federal Skilled Trades Program

This program of Express Entry Canada is for skilled workers who have qualifications in a skilled trade. They must have certification or must be eligible for licensure to practice in their skilled trade.

Before Express Entry Profile Creation

The first step towards Canada immigration through Express Entry is the Express Entry Profile creation. Before creating your profile, you will be required to answer a few questions in the Express Entry eligibility tool. This questionnaire will ask you about:

• The Canadian province you aim to live in
• Language proficiency test results (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF)
• Prior work experience
• NOC code and skill level of your primary occupation.

You must provide correct information to this questionnaire as this will judge your eligibility for Express Entry Canada. Once you are found eligible for the immigration program, you will be given a personal reference code that will look like “PU2109810145”. This reference code will be valid for 60 days or 2 months. This reference code will be required during in your Express Entry profile.
